The project “Revival of the stone village” is one of the 10 grant winners of the sub-programme of the “European Heritage Days” event for 2019. This event is called “European Heritage Stories”.

As part of the general assembly in Strasbourg, in October 2019 at the Palace of Europe, we were awarded in the competition of 84 European stories.

In addition to the award ceremony itself, the selected projects were presented in front of a large audience of European officials and experts in the field.

This is the first and only awarded project from Serbia. Thus, “Gostuša” once again excelled among the best achievements in the field of cultural heritage protection in Europe.

The first part of the project “Revival of the stone village” was realized from 4 to 13 October 2019. in the village of Gostuša, in the form of a conservation camp and professional conference. The rest of the activities are scheduled for February 2020, when the promotion and presentation of all previous activities will be carried out.
